Flashback to Charlie Crist onstage with Sarah Palin for 'drill here, drill now'

As Charlie Crist talks about the need for a special session to ban offshore drilling - and give him a boatload of attention and free publicity - the Marco Rubio campaign is aiming to point out Crist's flip-flopping on the issue. They've found a clip of Crist standing at Sarah Palin's side as she drew cheers in New Port Richey for her call to drill here, drill now.

Said the campaign: "At a cost of up to $50,000 a day to taxpayers to hold a special session, Crist says it’s common sense to ban offshore drilling. However, in his bid to say and do anything to win an election, Crist isn’t telling Floridians the whole story about where he has stood on the issue. Indeed, as this video from 2008 reminds Florida voters, Charlie Crist was cheering alongside Sarah Palin as she said “drill here, drill now. ... When it comes to drilling offshore, Charlie Crist must reconcile standing with Sarah Palin to cheer “drill here, drill now” to diverting state resources from the crisis at hand for an election-year stunt."
