Florida Sens. Nelson, Rubio split votes on disaster aid
The U.S. Senate tonight approved a $50.5 billion disaster aid package for victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Florida split the vote. Sen. Bill Nelson voted yes. Sen. Marco Rubio voted no, joining other critics who said the package included special interest spending outside the realm of the storm. Rubio voted previously on a smaller package.
