The Florida chapter of DraftObama.org launched today, an effort to mobilize Floridians to encourage the Illinois senator to run for president. Leading the effort is a political newcomer, Denise Roberts of Sarasota. "I'd been cynical and depressed about the political scene and wanted to get involved in a meaningful way,'' said Roberts. "I just am inspired by Barack Obama."

The volunteer group will be gathering signatures and generally spreading the gospel of Barack.
