FSU poised to dedicate 'Jim King Building'
Florida State University will dedicate its new James E. "Jim" King Jr. Life Sciences Building on Friday at the campus in Tallahassee. King, who holds two degrees from FSU, played an instrumental role in securing state funding for the $55-million building on Stadium Drive in the northwest corner of the campus. The five-story structure was completed last June and will serve as the hub for FSU's research in cell and molecular biology, ecology, evolution, environmental science, physiology and neuroscience.
"Florida State and Jim King have long formed a mutual admiration society," said William Andrew Haggard, a member of the FSU board of trustees, in a statement.
