Fun on the House Floor
In honor of Florida Cracker heritage, Rep. Baxter Troutman, R-Winter Haven, cracks a cattle whip on the House floor Tuesday. According to Troutman, Florida Crackers used long whips to drive their cattle through the state.
Tuesday, members of the Florida House wore their cowboy and cowgirl boots during the traditional "Boot Day." Rep. Franklin Sands, D-Weston, shows off his winning boots with inscribed Florida flag and House emblem.
