Tom Gallagher e-mailed his final "Campaign Notes" today, thanking his family and supporters. He said, in part:
"...I still believe strongly in my campaign agenda, and I believe that we added value to this election process by being willing to take a stand on the issues. If I were to do this campaign all over again, I would not have changed a thing. Last Thursday, I joined Charlie Crist and Governor Jeb Bush on a unity tour throughout Florida. Losing a primary is tough. But what would even be tougher is seeing a Democrat take over the Governor’s Mansion in November. We have to work together to preserve the conservative legacy of Governor Bush, and I encourage you all to follow my example and work hard for Charlie Crist and a huge Republican turnout on November 7.
Thank you again for your money, time, sweat, and prayers. It is a humbling experience to be able to depend upon the hard work of supporters, and Laura and I will be forever grateful. Don’t quit. Stay involved. The ideas that you worked so hard for are bigger than any one person and bigger than any one candidate, and as long as we continue to fight for them, they will prevail. "
