George Sheldon's sense of humor



George Sheldon, secretary of the Department of Children and Families, faces his first confirmation hearing Monday afternoon in a Senate committee. The affable ex-Tampa legislator oversees one of state government's most difficult assignments, one that requires a steady hand and good sense of humor. "I've been lobbying the committee -- to vote no," Sheldon said.
