Giuliani fires off new TV ad

Rudy Giuliani will begin airing a new ad, "Ready," (scroll down to view) in Florida on Thursday, the same day he has a rally in Hialeah. Giuliani is set to speak after 5 p.m. at Milander Auditorium in the South Florida city after an event in New Hampshire, where the ad also will be aired before the state's Jan. 8 primary.

Ads aren't the only new thing hitting Florida for Giuliani. His deputy national political director, Rick Wiley, has recently been sent to work out of the state headquarters in Winter Park.  After Thursday's Iowa caucuses -- where Giuliani isn't expected to fare strongly -- campaign staff there and New Hampshire will be dispatched to Florida, too.

The new ad is his second to hit the Sunshine State's airwaves, after last week's "Freedom." Like the first one, the latest ad will run on the national Fox News channel and local stations.
