GOP, Dems Respond
The debate over, both parties weigh in ...
RPOF's Carole Jean Jordan: “Florida’s Republican gubernatorial candidates have put forth comprehensive plans and idea-oriented campaigns. We look forward to continuing this spirited campaign and building on Republican accomplishments, from our strong economy and record job growth to increasing school standards and ensuring that Florida remains a safer and better place to raise our children.”
FDP's Karen Thurman: “[N]o matter how many times they invoked Jeb Bush, Connie Mack and Ronald Reagan, both candidates failed to prove that they have the leadership qualities necessary to be governor. Instead of focusing on real and concrete solutions, Crist and Gallagher bickered about who has changed their position on issues more – when the reality is that neither has been particularly decisive about anything. Crist and Gallagher talked a lot about accountability, and now it’s time for Floridians to hold them accountable. The insurance crisis, property tax increases, low graduation rates and other problems happened under their watch as members of the Cabinet. They’re part of the problem, but Floridians need a governor with solutions. Crist and Gallagher had their chance, and undeniably, they failed. “Now it’s time for new leadership in Florida."
But enough about them, what do you think?
