GOP names Arza's ballot replacement
Eduardo Gonzalez of Hialeah has been nominated to replace Ralph Arza in the state House. The Republican Party of Florida announced its ballot choice this evening. "We feel that his experience as vice president of the Hialeah City Commission and his longstanding ties to the district uniquely qualify (him) for the nomination," Carole Jean Jordan said.
A native of Cardenas, Cuba, Gonzalez has lived in Hialeah for more than 25 years and served on various boards, according to an RPOF release. He has resigned his city council position to seek state office.
