GOP poll shows Rick Perry out front in Florida
A new poll from American Research Group shows Rick Perry leading a field of presidential candidates in Florida, followed close by Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann, who is top among tea party members.
Among likely voters, Perry -- who has not yet entered the race -- got 18 percent of the vote, followed by Romney's 17 percent and Bachmann's 16 percent. Fourth place went to Sarah Palin (14%) then Herman Cain (11%).
In the tea party group it went: Bachmann (20%); Perry (18%); Palin (16%); Cain (13%). Romney lagged with 8 percent.
The poll was taken July 18-24 and included 600 people with a +/- 4 percentage point MOE.
