GOP relents, ask for feds to look at redistrict amends
The Republican-led Legislature (rather than Gov. Rick Scott) has formally asked the U.S. Justice Department to pre-clear Amendments 5 and 6, which were passed to prevent political gerrymandering. The Florida House (along with two members of Congress) are still fighting the amendments in court.
