Gov. Charlie Crist spends little, rakes in another $2.4 million in campaign contributions
Gov. Charlie Crist has raked in another $2.4 million for the third quarter, his U.S. Senate campaign just announced. And he still has over $6-million on hand from previous quarters, meaning he has only spent what amounts to pocket change so far.
The announcement comes on the heels of his Republican opponent, former House Speaker Marco Rubio, confirming he has raised close to $1 million -- far more than in the previous quarter but still much less than the sitting governor
“I am overwhelmed by the support we received during our second quarter and throughout the first five months of the campaign,” Crist said. “I am truly grateful to all those who have contributed their hard-earned resources to ensure that our campaign has the financial means necessary to take the fight for the people of Florida to our nation’s capital.”
