Gov. Scott plans (another) public school visit
Gov. Rick Scott spent the day in Orlando where he was greeted by a throng of protestors during a publicity stop at Wal-Mart.
As the Associated Press reported, Scott did not respond to one of the protestors who reportedly shouted a question about whether he has visited a public school as governor.
Scott has been to several charter schools, but we couldn't remember him ever going to one of the nearly 4,000 traditional K-12 schools in Florida. Turns out he's been to at least one, although it wasn't to see the school: In June, Scott attended a mentoring program graduation ceremony held at Marathon High School.
We're told Scott is planning to visit a Central Florida public school later this month to draw attention to a new education law. No other details were immediately available.
