Grandma Carol coming on strong

"Grandma" Carol Castagnero, a Democratic candidate for governor who accepted no donations, received few speaking invitations and even fewer mentions in the media, so far is wracking up 8 percent of the vote.

"I really think if I had gotten in those debates it would have made a big difference, because I would've shined,'' said Castagnero, whose platform included abolishing the FCAT. She's feeling pretty good about her showing all things considered, and "working on some angles" to get on the ballot for the general election.
