Greer out of RNC running?

We haven't been able to get an answer from state GOP Chairman Jim Greer about whether he's still pursuing a bid for RNC Chairman, but The Fix seems to have it right in pegging him as, at best, a third tier candidate:

"Greer, the Florida state party chair, has been Hamlet-like in the race -- rarely professing any deep interest in running. At this point, it's probably too late even if he wants to get in."

UPDATE 2: Greer has been invited (not yet confirmed) to join the Americans for Tax Reform debate of RNC chair candidates scheduled for Jan. 5. Others include Saul Anuzis, Michigan GOP chairman (confirmed); former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, (Confirmed); South Carolina GOP chairman Katon Dawson (Confirmed); Chip Saltsman, Former Tennessee GOP chairman Chip Saltsman GOPAC Chairman Michael Steele (Confirmed); RNC Chairman Mike Duncan (Invited); Tina Benkiser, Chairman, Republican Party of Texas (Invited);

UPDATE: Greer: "Adam, Focused on Florida and waiting to hear from the RNC candidates their vision for the future of the Party, (probably will) make final decision after new year."
