Greer on Steele's RNC transition team
Newly elected RNC chairman Michael Steele has named RPOF Chairman Jim Greer to his transition team "to review all party operations and begin preparing for this year’s elections."
“We’re going to bring this Party to every corner of the country and ask people to join us and work with us,” Chairman Steele said. “By standing on our principles – we can expand and grow. My transition team will take a fresh look at everything with an eye toward preparing to win the campaigns of the future.” The team's chairman is Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin. Co-Chairs: Michigan GOP Chairman Saul Anuzis; Mississippi national committeeman Henry Barbour; Illinois national committeeman Pat Brady; Jim Greer; and Michigan National committeewoman Holly Hughes; Bo Palacios, national committeeman from the Northern Mariana Islands; California national committeeman Shawn Steel; Maryland national committeewoman Joyce Tehres;and Oregon GOP chairman Bob Tiernan.
Also, we neglected to post on Friday that National Committeewoman Sharon Day of Broward was elected secretary of the RNC. Day says she intends to take a more active role as secretary with an emphasis on technology and women's issues.
