Herald backs Crist and Smith

Rod Smith, who has a record of working in a bipartisan fashion with members of the GOP. Sen. Smith and U.S. Rep. Jim Davis of Tampa are seasoned, well-matched candidates. Rep. Davis would be well-positioned to campaign for votes against the likely GOP candidate for governor, Attorney General Charlie Crist, in his own backyard in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area. But Sen.
