The parade of Democratic presidential contenders continues with Hillary Clinton Friday campaigning with Jim Davis in Coral Gables. She comes on the heels of Barak Obama last week, Bill Richardson tonight and just before Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack shows up next Tuesday in Orlando.
“Whether he brings Barack Obama, Janet Reno, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, or Tom Vilsack to Florida to campaign for him, it has become unmistakably clear that Congressman Jim Davis is not going to be able to bridge the credibility gap that divides him and Florida voters,'' state GOP spokesman Jeff Sadosky said. “What’s more, these Democrat elite come to Florida with baggage of their own: New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, who will stump with Davis tonight, created taxpayer-funded jobs for political supporters; Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack has worked to maintain his state’s tax on seniors’ social security benefits; Barack Obama admits that the Democrats have no plan for our nation’s future; and Hillary Clinton turned her back on statesman and fellow member of the U.S. Senate, Joe Lieberman."
