Hillsborough Commissioners spoofed on YouTube
The Hillsborough County Commission’s reputed pro-development penchant has landed some of its members a spot on YouTube. The video spot shows four commissioners — Brian Blair, Kevin White, Jim Norman and Ken Hagan — dancing across a freshly scraped development site to the tune "Piggies" from the Beatles’ White Album. Its creator is Dee Hood, filmmaker, artist and Ruskin resident.
The gang of four, as environmental groups have dubbed them, were the recent backers of a tentative plan to cut the local wetlands permitting program from the county’s Environmental Protection Commission. Supporters of the measure say the county agency duplicates the state's program. Opponents say county regulations offer more protection than the state. Check out the video here.
