House Dems to Cretul: We'll roll to vote if you push back start date
House Democrats have responded to Speaker Larry Cretul's digging in on Thursday's start date for the special session on all things rail.
They promise to help roll the bill to a final vote next Tuesday -- meaning they'll vote yes on procedural matters to speed the process up -- if Cretul is willing to push the start of the session up and allow black lawmakers to attend a long-scheduled national convention in South Florida.
Here are two original letters sent by Cretul on the matter. The first was sent to all members saying that black legislators attending the conference can be excused upon request.
