Is House seeking polling data on drilling ban?
With less than a week to go before the special session on drilling begins, we've heard virtually nothing from House leadership about whether legislators should pass a proposed constitutional amendment to ban oil drilling in state waters. (We have comments calling Gov. Charlie Crist's move a political stunt, of course.)
Are rumors true that House leaders have asked the Republican Party of Florida to run a poll on the issue to see how the public feels about it? RPOF spokeswoman Katie Betta won't say, noting that the party does not comment about whether or not it is conducting internal polling.
