House speaker calls for changes; Democrats call it admission of 'mismanagement'

House Speaker Larry Cretul and top Republican lawmakers issued a proposal Tuesday afternoon to streamline government and eliminate duplication and waste.

House Democrats capitalized, saying Cretul "admitted Republican mismanagement and confessed that it is time to 'do government business a new way.'"
