Marco Rubio's trip to California is not just about visiting the shrine of Reagan. He's also raising money, with a series of fundraisers to benefit his campaign (but not his new PAC) and the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

At left is an invite for a lunch Monday in San Francisco, which was followed by a $1,000 per person reception at a home in Atherton. The senator has some fundraisers on tap for today as well.

Rubio became a fundraising powerhouse after it was clear he would defeat Charlie Crist in the race for Senate last year, and pulled in a whopping $1.6 million in the last quarter. (more on that here)
