Hurricane Preparedness Week

[Scott Keeler, Times]
Florida Governor Charlie Crist  helped promote National Hurricane Preparedness Week, May 25 through May 31 by helping Sandra Jackson, center, St. Petersburg, and her family shop for their hurricane supplies at Home Depot, 22nd Avenue North in St. Petersburg, Tuesday. On the right is Jackson's daughter Nathaline Williams, St. Petersburg.  Also shown is Home Depot store manager Jim Kriston, left.  Jackson purchased $118.00 worth of supplies that according to Craig Fugate, Director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management, would help her and her family survive a storm for the first 72 hours.  Fugate is shown in the background, center. When asked about his recent trip to visit Senator John McCain in Sedona , Arizona over the Memorial Day weekend, Crist said," We did a lot of grilling out there. It was all social. It's great to be your Governor."
