Jeb: It's Flu, er I mean Election Season
It may be the most celebrated flu shot this campaign season.
With state Rep. Joe Negron looking on from behind cameras, Gov. Jeb Bush stole the show at a campaign stop (intended to help get Negron's name out) when Bush toured the Charlotte County cultural center and got a flu shot.
Negron is running to replace the disgraced Congressman Mark Foley, but Negron's name won't be on the ballot.
County health nurses were selling the shot for $25 to the general public, but they gave Jeb his for free.
"It's important to get your flu shot, that's why I came here," Bush said. "There's another reason too," he quickly added.
UPDATE FROM GOVERNOR'S OFFICE: The governor didn't get a free flu shot, after all. The governor's office told Buzz this afternoon Bush will be sending a $25 check in.
