Jeb sounds unimpressed with Rick Perry
Did Rick Perry fill the vacuum many conservatives have seen in the GOP presidential field? Doesn't sound like Jeb Bush thinks so.
Weekly Standard: Another prominent conservative reformer, Jeb Bush, also thinks Ryan should run.
“Paul Ryan would be a formidable candidate. I admire his substance and energy. Win or lose, he would force the race to be about sustained, job-creating economic growth and the real policies that can achieve it.”
UPDATE: Bush spokeswoman Jaryn Emhof took us to task for suggesting Bush was dissing the Texas governor: "Gov. Bush was asked a question about Rep. Ryan. He admires Rep. Ryan and said so. To construe his comment to be about the lineup of GOP candidates is inaccurate. He has spoken positively about the GOP field of candidates. If asked about Gov. Perry, he would speak well of him also. Perry has done a great job as Governor of Texas."
