Jeb v. Grover
Jeb Bush on Friday went where many Republicans will not: He suggested a modest tax increase to go along with deep spending cuts. And he scoffed at the anti-tax pledge that helps drive the GOP's rigid stance.
"I ran for office three times. The pledge was presented to me three times," he told the U.S. House budget committee. "I never signed the pledge. I cut taxes every year I was governor."
That brought a response from Grover Norquist.
