Jockeying for the microphone
Tense moments in the lobby as everyone jockeyed for the microphone.
Lanny Davis, Clinton surrogate, told a gaggle of reporters that he wasn't satisfied with an Obama offer that would net Clinton 19 delegates from Florida. "Don't say (the Obama campaign is) being generous," he said.
Jon Ausman, the Floridian who filed the challenge, then tried to step in.
Ausman: "I can say they're being generous."
Davis: "Well, you're allowed to and I'm allowed to disagree."
Ausman: "I'm the one who filed the petition. Are you a paid staff member for Clinton?"
Davis: "I'm actually just a friend."
Ausman: "Are you a designated representative?"
Davis: "I'm not a designated representative."
Ausman: "Then why don't we ask the designated representative to speak for Clinton and you be silent?"
Rep. Stephanie Tubbs-Jones, Clinton surrogate, to Ausman: "Let somebody else be interviewed."
