Saturday was a busy one for Democratic Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich. After a fundraiser at a swanky Tampa restaurant and a speech at a League of United Latin American Citizens dinner, he stopped by Skipper's Smokehouse in north Tampa, where public radio station WMNF was sponsoring a Led Zeppelin tribute featuring a slew of local bands. Kucinich arrived a little after 11 p.m. and stood near the stage with his tongue-pierced wife Elizabeth draped over him while the Smokestack Blues Band ripped through "Whole Lotta Love."
Kucinich definitely stood out in the crowd. Maybe because he was wearing a suit in a sea of t-shirts and jeans. Maybe because of Elizabeth who is decades younger and inches taller than her husband, and model gorgeous to boot. His Stairway to Heaven. Concert goers came up to shake his hand, snap pictures with him and give him props for his anti-war stance.
