Labor jumps into Fla GOP primary - linking Mitt Romney to Rick Scott

How strange is this GOP presidential primary? So strange that  AFSCME, the strongly Democratic public employees labor union, is now weighing in with TV ads in Florida casting Mittt Romney as a greedy corporate villain -- and likening him to Florida's unpopular Gov. Rick Scott. Chuck Todd reports that it's an $800,000 buy. It jumps on a Boston Globe report about Bain's investment in a medical testing company engulfed in a Medicare fraud controversy. More here.

“President Obama and his union cronies will stop at nothing to distract from this president’s failed record," said Romney campaign spokesman Ryan Williams. "This president has been a complete failure for the state of Florida – unemployment has been at double-digits for 31 straight months, nearly 1 million people are unemployed, and foreclosures are rampant.  Mitt Romney is a conservative businessman who knows how to create jobs and will put an end to the economic stagnation caused by President Obama’s job-killing policies.”
