Late night on Amendment 2
So it's still very early. But the state is reporting 62% in favor of Amendment 2, which bans gay marriage in the state constitution. But it's not saying which precincts are reporting. The amendment needs 60% to pass.
A look at Tampa Bay counties shows it's going to be very close. In Pinellas, where Gov. Charlie Crist voted for it, it fails at 54%. In Pasco, it passes at 63%. In Hillsborough, it passes at 62%. In Orange, it's just at 60%. In Palm Beach, early reports have it at 50%.
