LeMieux, Nelson split Viagra vote

Viagra Yes, the health care debate has come down to a question of erectile dysfunction.

One of the many GOP amendments to stymie passage of the final health care bill Wednesday called for banning health programs from providing Viagra to sex offenders.

Florida Republican Sen. George LeMieux voted for the amendment, with Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson joining the majority in striking it down.

Sponsor Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Oklahoma, said the amendment and anti-fraud steps would save $650 million a year. Sen. Max Baucus, D-Montana, called it "a crass political stunt."

Republicans have offered a ton of amendments (LeMieux himself wanted to put Congress on Medicaid) and they are getting shot down one by one.
