LeMieux's PAC rakes in more dough
Florida Sen. George LeMieux's PAC collected $52,250 in June, his biggest haul yet since forming the account shortly after Gov. Charlie Crist appointed him to the interim seat in September.
Protect America's Future PAC has raised $165,800 in all, and LeMieux has used it to help out other Republicans (and no doubt his own standing within the Washington political network). Full report here / Some highlights:Contributors: GeoGroup PAC, $5,000; Progress Energy Employees PAC, $1,000; Burger King PAC, $1,000; Remedios Diaz-Oliver of All American Containers in Miami, $3,000; Michael Maroone of AutoNation, $2,500; Justin Sayfie, $500; state Rep. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, $500; state Rep. David Rivera, $500 (and LeMieux's PAC gave $1,000 to Rivera's congressional campaign.)
Donations: LeMieux handed out checks to central Florida congressional candidates Dan Webster ($2,400) and Sandy Adams ($1,000) as well as Louisiana Sen. David Vitter's re-election campaign ($2,400) and Pennsylvania Senate candidate Pat Toomey.
And, as we already noted, LeMieux gave $2,400 to Marco Rubio, Crist's rival in the Florida Senate race.
