Linn suing to gain access to debate
Reform Party candidate for governor Max Linn will file a lawsuit in Broward Circuit Court on Monday, seeking to gain access to Tuesday night's gubernatorial debate in Davie between Charlie Crist and Jim Davis.
"We're asking that Max be included. We hope the debate will continue and Floridians will be allowed to hear all of their choices for governor," said Linn's campaign spokeswoman, Liz McCallum.
Linn's legal team includes Luke Lirot in Clearwater, Mark Adams in Tampa and Ellis Rubin in Miami.
Expected to be named as defendants are the debate partners: the Florida Public Broadcasting Service, Florida Press Association, Leadership Florida Community Foundation and WPBT-Channel 2 in Miami.
The case will be assigned to a circuit judge in Broward County, where the debate is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday from the campus of Nova Southeastern University.
