A little good news for Holly Benson in GOP attorney general contest
The Buzz has obtained a copy of a McLaughlin & Associates poll conducted for a private client, the Florida Medical Association. The pollster asked 600 likely GOP voters: "If the election were held today, which of the following best describes how you are likely to vote in the Republican primary election for attorney general?"
McLaughlin's polling includes "leaners," voters who "probably" or are "leaning toward" voting for a particular candidate. Here are the bottom-line totals: Holly Benson, 11.8 percent; Jeff Kottkamp, 10.8 percent; Pam Bondi, 9.5 percent; undecided, 67.8 percent. It's obviously a wide-open contest. In the "definitely support" category, Benson scored 4.5 percent, Kottkamp 4.5 percent and Bondi 3.7 percent.
