Longtime Kendrick Meek friend may help Jeff Greene
When he first announced his campaign for U.S. Senate, Kendrick Meek said he expected one of his top advisers would be longtime friend Marcus Jadotte, a savvy Florida strategist who served as deputy campaign manager for John Kerry's presidential campaign. Turned out Jadotte, left, never did much on Meek's campaign and to hear virtually every Democratic operative in Florida tell it, is now expected to help the Jeff Greene U.S. Senate campaign. Ouch. There's no confirmation of a deal reached, though, just chatter.
Jadotte wouldn't manage the campaign and from what we've heard Greene's people have called virtually every experienced Democratic operative in Florida trying to land a campaign manager. Now Beth Reinhard reports that Greene has hired a Pennsylvania operative, Jeff Morrow, to manage the Florida campaign. Morrow has experience working for unpredictable, self-financers.
