Marco Rubio becoming cocky frontrunner?
So suggests the editorial page of the News-Press in Fort Myers: Marco Rubio came to Fort Myers Wednesday night to energize his supporters and to slam Gov. Charlie Crist, his opponent in the GOP's U.S. Senate primary race.
Rubio, a former Florida speaker of the House, has recently taken a lead in the race -remarkable for someone who was considered a long shot last year.
Now that he's the front-runner, according to numerous polls, let's hope he doesn't get arrogant.
Judging by last night, it might be too late.
His campaign initially said it was barring the press from interviewing him, then allowed two television reporters in but denied other journalists the chance to ask him questions.
What does he have to hide?
