Marriage equality group to air TV ad during RNC
A group supportive of gay marriage rights says it will air this ad in the Tampa TV market during the Republican National Convention.
“As a Republican, I believe in conservative values like responsibility and limited government,” San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders says in the ad, titled “Family and Freedom,” a project of the Human Rights Campaign and Freedom to Marry.
The ad comes as the Republican platform committee on Tuesday rejected a call for supporting civil unions, voting to "protect traditional marriage."
