McCollum's TV ad

Republican attorney general candidate Bill McCollum has started airing a TV ad in the Panhandle and Fort Lauderdale area. See it here.

With shots of McCollum, a narrator says: “Bill McCollum has the background, experience and qualifications to be Florida’s next Attorney General. The McCollum Agenda: Stop sexual predators who threaten our children. Protect the elderly from fraud and abuse. Secure our ports. Fight Terrorism. Find Creative Solutions to the insurance crisis. And prosecute identity theft. Fighting to make Florida a safer place to live work and raise a family. Bill McCollum for Attorney General”

CAMPBELL RESPONSE: The Campbell campaign says McCollum's use of a Coast Guard boat in his ad violates federal rules, because it was done without permission. The Campbell camp also called the ad misleading, which prompted this reponse from the McCollum folks: “Skip Campbell has a reputation for being strange and unusual. His response to our positive advertisement is proof of his reputation. It's so negative that it's wild eyed."
