Milligan replaces Stipanovich at SBA

Image002 Republican Bob Milligan is the new interim head of the State Board of Administration, Democratic CFO Alex Sink announced today. Milligan, Florida's last elected comptroller, replaces Coleman Stipanovich, who resigned last week in the fallout over a raid on a local government investment fund.

"He is a man of great integrity and honor,'' said Gov. Charlie Crist, who along with Sink and Attorney General Bill McCollum comprise the SBA.

Milligan, 74, said he puts people first and, "Concern about these investors is what I need to be about." He announced a Jan. 3 meeting to hear concerns from stakeholders in the damaged Local Government Investment Pool.
