While U.S. Senate candidate Katherine Harris was campaigning in Florida with President Bush Thursday she missed voting in Washington on three immigration bills designed to boost border enforcement.
Harris has been talking constantly about immigration while campaigning, criticizing opponent Sen. Bill Nelson regularly for his stance on the issue.
“This is just another example of Katherine Harris having no credibility,” Nelson campaign spokesman Bryan Gulley said. “When it came time for her to backup her campaign pledge to make the country’s borders more secure, Katherine was AWOL.”
About a dozen other House members missed one or more of the votes. That list doesn't include Rep. Jim Davis who was in Washington and voted on all three bills.
