Monroe questions Harris' contributions
U.S. Senate candidate Peter Monroe wants rival Katherine Harris to explain $259,000 in campaign contributions that he says were given by "special interest political action committees."
"Harris has successfully stuffed her campaign coffers with easy money from a who's who of Washington beltway insiders,'' Monroe said. "I want to know if anything has been offered in return. I want to know what kind of access or special favors these influence peddlars think they have purchased."
Monroe specifically questions donations from those in the financial services industry, which Harris helps to oversee as a member of the House Financial Services Committee. They include Fannie Mae, ther American Bankers Association and the Real Estate Services Providers Council.
