Movers and Shakers: New roles for Vivian Myrtetus, Deborrah Brodsky
Longtime Tallahassee communications pro Vivian Myrtetus has joined the Florida Department of Children and Families as chief of staff (h/t Saint Petersblog). Myrtetus was a former spokeswoman of Gov. Charlie Crist before joining his chief of staff-turned-U.S. Senate nominee George LeMieux in Washington D.C. She is CEO of Beacon Communications Group.
Her Friday tweet confirming the news (her handle is @Vivskivs): "Looking forward to my new role as chief of staff for FL Dept of Children & Families. Thx for all the support #newday."
Deborrah Brodsky returns to Florida TaxWatch after a stint on Gov. Rick Scott's transition team. Brodsky worked in Scott's Office of Policy and Budget. Now she will be director of TaxWatch's Center for Educational Performance and Accountability.
Brodksy has worked for Taxwatch since 1998, most recently as chief of staff from 2009 to 2010. Before that she worked for the Legislature and as an editor for the Journal of the House of Representatives.
