Mrs. Crist presents award for 'preeminent women' who achieve
The governor's press office just sent out a press release that begins with "First Lady Carole Crist today will..." -- not something we've seen too often since she married Gov. Charlie Crist in December in St. Petersburg.
But according to the 3-paragraph press release, the First Lady of Florida will present the International Women’s Forum Hall of Fame Awards in Miami, where she owns a condo on Fisher Island. (She did not attend the annual Florida Women's Hall of Fame event in Tallahassee this past spring.)
The Forum is described as "a global organization of preeminent women of significant and diverse achievement. The organization furthers leadership, leverages global access, and maximizes opportunities for women to exert their influence."
“I'm happy to participate in tonight’s program, and I congratulate the women being honored for their contributions,” First Lady Crist.
