Nelson collects just shy of $2 million for quarter
Sen. Bill Nelson will report raising just under $2 million for the quarter, a source says, and will have about $7.5 million cash on hand for his re-election campaign. Nelson's campaign said the money came from 5,133 donors, a 54 percent increase in contributors over the second quarter.
Republican challengers have not yet disclosed third-quarter hauls.
