The new attack on Jeff Brandes: He's pushing robot cars on Floridians
This weekend I heard a robo call from the Committee to Protect Florida suggestng that state senate candidate Jeff Brandes, R-St. Petersburg, wants to have little old ladies across the state fleeing from "robot cars" on Florida roads: "This is a road safety alert: Jeff Brandes passed legsislation to allow driverless robot cars to drive on Tampa Bay Streets at speeds up to 70 miles per hours."
Now SaintPetersblog flags a new TV spot suggesting the same thing: "He's more interested in allowing driverless remote-control cars and allowing the new Howard Frankland to be a toll bridge than fixing our economy," says the ad, featuring a lady with a walker and the sound of a crashing car.
It's a references to the Google driverless car bill Brandes sponsored and that unanimously passed the legislature this year.
