New Florida congressman Nugent says House budget cuts don't go far enough
Despite tough campaign talk about slashing the federal government and plans for $100 billion in cuts, the new GOP leadership in the House managed to only come up with $32 billion.
That's not pleasing some newly elected Republicans, including Florida Rep. Rich Nugent of Brooksville.
"I believe when elected officials promise something, they need to deliver," he said. "The American people are demanding that Washington step up to the plate and get spending under control. The twenty percent cut announced by the Budget Committee is a good start, but I believe we can do more."
