New Florida Obama ad says Romney would cut Medicaid
New Obama ad focusing on Medicaid. The Obama campaign relies on claims stemming from Romney's term as governor and makes it seem as though the Ryan budget is the Romney budget. The Republican candidate has expressed support for the budget but also says he would push his own ideas. “Only Choice” will air in New Hampshire, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Colorado, and Nevada, the campaign said.
UPDATE 5:30 p.m.: The campaign has released another new Florida ad, invoking Romney's "47 percent comments."
“The reality is that Medicaid is a broken system today that too often fails to provide meaningful access to care or deliver intended outcomes. Governor Romney’s proposal will continue to grow Medicaid spending each year while significantly slowing the trajectory that has placed the program on an unsustainable course. By giving states greater flexibility and the incentive to provide coverage more efficiently, Governor Romney will ensure that low-income Americans receive the care they need while also bringing federal spending back under control.” – Jeff Bechdel, Romney spokesman.
