Two new PR shops in Tallahassee

UPDATED: Vivian Myrtetus, former deputy chief of staff to Sen. George LeMieux and Charlie Crist communications director, has formed Beacon Communications Group, a Florida-based strategic communications firm specializing in public affairs, crisis management, and media relations.

"The cornerstone of our success is our demonstrated ability to match client goals with the needs of various stakeholders and the media," said Myrtetus.  "With decades of experience, Beacon understands business, the news media, government, and the unique environment where they intersect."

Meanwhile, former Alex Sink spokesman Kevin Cate, who managed Loranne Ausley's campaign and was a regional communications director for Barack Obama, is opening up his own PR firm. Check out Cate, a graduate of Auburn and FSU, has managed press for three state agencies, two congressional candidates, one statewide elected official and one statewide candidate.
